Held since 1947 in Amsterdam every June, the Holland Festival is the oldest and largest international performing arts festival in the Netherlands. It features dance, music, opera, theatre and film. The festival magazine provides information on the programmed events, which in 1994 revolved around the music of the younger generations of Chinese composers and ‘realisations’. The magazine was published as a supplement to the weekly Vrij Nederland.
